Gandaki, Feb 15: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, has said country's economy was improving gradually.
Inaugurating the Rastriya Banijya Bank's Gandaki Provincial Office building in Pokhara today, DPM Paudel mentioned that the incumbent government, comprising two major political parties, was formed to resolve the existing problems, including country's economic reform.
He argued the incumbent has willpower, and is capable to resolve problems. The economic index has started showing improvement, according to DPM Paudel.
The government is serious to bring into operation the Pokhara International Airport, for it was built to contribute to tourism and national economy, Paudel reminded.
On the occasion, he stressed that the government banks should attract general people through various schemes.
Similarly, Minister for Industry and Tourism of Gandaki Province, Mitra Lal Basyal, shared that there is immense potential in industry, agriculture and tourism sectors of Gandaki province. He urged the banks and financial institutions to invest in these sectors.
A member of House of Representatives, Damodar Bairagi, RBB Board of Director, Ram Prasad Gyawali, and Chief Executive Officer of RBB, Devendra Raman Khanal, said the banks and financial institutions had a significant role in country's economic development. (RSS)
