Two arrested for fraudulent foreign employment schemes

Kathmandu, Feb.12: Two individuals have been arrested for cheating people by promising foreign employment with lucrative salaries. 

The 54-year-old Lil Bahadur Rai of Triyuga Rural Municipality-11 of Udayapur district who is currently living at Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, Lalitpur and 37-year-old Bishal Shrestha of Basantapur of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-23, were detained for fraud. 

Lil Bahadur Rai deceived two victims into paying Rs two hundred thousand, promising to send them to Malaysia, while Shrestha took Rs one hundred fifty thousand from one, claiming to send him to Croatia, as per the bulletin of Nepal Police. 

All two of them became out of contract with the victims following the monetary transaction. 

After the victims filed complaints, Lil Bahadur was arrested from Battisputali , and Shrestha was arrested from Teku, Kathmandu, on Monday. 

Both have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
