Important documents saved from fire

Kathmandu, Feb 9: The Ministry of Water Supply has stated that no damage was caused to the ministry’s essential and important documents in the fire that broke out at the ministry in Singha Durbar on Saturday.    


Issuing a press release on Saturday, Ministry Under-Secretary Bhaktaraj Joshi stated that no damage was caused to the ministry’s essential documents in the fire. After the fire, Deputy Prime


Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka, Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav, and high-ranking employees of the ministry and heads of security agencies inspected the incident on site and collected information about the damage.    


The release states that the fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes with the help of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, employees and fire engines. No damage was caused to the ministry’s essential and important documents in the fire and that the police are investigating the incident. (RSS)
