23 injured in bus accident

Bharatpur, Feb 9: Twenty-three people have been injured in a road accident that took place here early this morning.

The accident took place when a bus (Lu Pra 03-001 Kha 0077) going from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu fell off the Setidobhan bridge on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section at 4:30 am, police said.    

Police Inspector Nirala Bhandari of the Area Police Office, Muglin, shared that 23 of the 28 people on board the bus were injured in the bus accident. The injured are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.    

Initial investigation showed that the bus may have lost control due to a tire puncture. Further investigation is underway. (RSS)
