Divya Rayamajhi to do Maya Preeti

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 6: Actress Divya Rayamajhi, who made her debut in the Nepali film industry with the currently screening film Aktor: Take One signed another film Maya Preeti on Wednesday. 

The film’s executive producer, Santosh Kumar Karki, and creative director, Pranav Joshi, officially signed her on Wednesday. The romantic comedy film will be directed by Avi Shrestha.

 Shrestha is debuting as a film director from Maya Preeti. 

Maya Preeti is a love story of the new generation that will uphold the value and significance of love whether in easy or challenging circumstances, said the director. 

After signing for the film, actress Rayamajhi said that having grown up watching cinema culture, it was easy for her to choose a film script.

Actress Rayamajhi is the daughter of actor Dilip Rayamajhi. 

 She said that the story of Maya Preeti was exactly what she had been looking for. However, she chose not to reveal details about her role.

Executive producer Karki said that Rayamajhi was offered Maya Preeti because of her outstanding performance in her debut film Aktor: Take One.

 He said that the character in the new film was fit for her and that the script would do justice to her talent.

Produced under the banner of One Two Three Studios, the film will have actress Nisha Adhikari as the executive producer. 

The shooting of Maya Preeti is set to begin soon, with additional cast announcements to be made gradually.
