RSS Chair Jha receives journalism award

Baitadi, Jan 29: Executive Chairperson of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Dharmendra Jha, has been honoured on the occasion of Martyrs Day.     

Chair Jha was felicitated with 'Ram Bahadur Chand Memorial Journalism Gaurav' on the occasion of Dasharath Chand Literary Festival cum International Seminar organised at Dasharath Chand municipality-5, the birthplace of martyr Dasharath Chand.     

The seminar organised by Nationality Preservation Campaign was promoted by the Dasharathchand municipality in collaboration with the Martyr Dasharath Chand Memorial Foundation.     

Chairperson of the campaign, Hem Babu Lekhak, said Chair Jha was honoured for his remarkable contribution in development of Nepali journalism.     

On the occasion, Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, Naradmani Hartamchhali, honoured Chair Jha with letter of felicitation.     

Ram Bahadur Chand of Chwagadh in Baitadi was the first journalist in Sudurpaschim.     

On the occasion, RSS Sudurpaschim Province Chief Siddha Raj Bhatta was also honoured with 'Dasharath Chand Memorial Journalism Pride' for his contribution in development of journalism in Sudurpaschim.     

Meanwhile, Chair Jha said the house of martyr Dasharath Chand should be developed as a museum. The literary festival and the seminar had worked to connect culture and country, he added.     

Chair Jha became the lifetime member of the Foundation on Wednesday itself.(RSS)
