Suspension bridge being constructed at Okhaldhunga

By Sher Bahadur Rai, Okhaldhunga, Jan.20: A suspension bridge is being built in Okhaldhunga district headquarters.

A 425-meter-long suspension bridge is being built from Hulak Danda to Birendra Park.

Mayor of Siddhicharan Municipality Tejendra Khanal said that with the allocation of Rs 70 million from the federal government for the construction of the bridge, there is hope that the bridge will be built.

Mayor Khanal said that the source of the budget for the construction of the bridge has been secured at the initiative of Federal Member of Parliament of Okhaldhunga Ramhari Khatiwada,.

Mayor Khanal said that the construction of a tourist bridge from Hulak Danda of  Siddhicharan Municipality -11 up to Birendra Park of Ward 12 will help in the promotion of tourism in the municipality and the district as a whole.

The technical study of the tourist bridge has been done. After the construction of the bridge, it will be possible to directly reach Srashta Park from the central part of the headquarters market.

Siddicharan Municipality has said that there is a plan to increase economic prosperity by increasing the number of internal and external tourists in the headquarters area by making hotels and other businesses run.
