Global IME Bank Announces Plantation of 18,000 Trees on the Occasion of its 18th Anniversary

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 7: Global IME Bank Limited has announced its commitment to planting 18,000 trees during the current fiscal year as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, marking the occasion of its 18th anniversary.

According to a press release of the Global IME Bank , it has celebrated its 18th anniversary on Thursday, January 2, and officially entered its 19th year of establishment.

The bank plans to carry out the plantation of 18,000 trees in collaboration with local organizations across various locations in the country throughout the fiscal year.  

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank, Surendra Raj Regmi, inaugurated the tree-planting campaign by planting various saplings on the premises of the bank's office in Anamnagar during the anniversary event.

On the occasion, CEO Regmi stated that the tree plantation program will continue throughout the fiscal year and that the goal is to plant 18,000 saplings at appropriate times.  

"Trees are a crucial part of nature conservation. Tree plantation helps maintain environmental balance, preserve greenery, prevent landslides, and protect water sources," he remarked.

The event was attended by the Deputy CEO, Suman Pokharel, and other senior management officials of the bank.  

Global IME Bank has been consistently conducting various social programs under its CSR initiatives.

The bank has been recognized as Nepal's Best Bank in two categories under the Global Finance’s Best Bank Award 2024 and the Euromoney Award for Excellence 2024. Additionally, it has received accolades in various categories from national and international organizations.
