By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 7: Saroj Poudel, the director of the historical blockbuster Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi has announced his next film ‘Koshedhunga’.

The announcement was made with the release of a theme poster

The poster features a woman standing and gazing at the mountains, set against a backdrop of a cloudy morning.

In the foreground, there is a tall tree and a traditional mountain-style house, while the horizon stretches far into the distance.

The poster strongly hints that Koshedhunga will be a social drama.

It appears to revolve around themes of deprivation, ambition, and struggle. However, the production team has not disclosed further details about the story.

According to the filmmaker, the film is set for release in 2025.

Presented by Naradevi Films, the project is funded by Prebil Kandel and Hari Mahat, with Dinesh Khadka serving as the executive producer.

The DOP of the film will be Babu Shrestha, while Surendra Poudel will handle the editing, and the music will be composed by Rhythm Kandel and Ashish Abiral.

The casting director for the project is Subal Mani Sapkota. As of now, the lead cast members have not been revealed.

“We will share more details about the film, its story, and the cast in due time,” said director Poudel. “Our goal is to create a film that resonates with the audience, just as Purna Bahadur’s Sarangi did.”

Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi, directed by Poudel, has already set a record as the highest-grossing film in the Nepali film industry, earning approximately Rs. 500 million in the local box office.
