Snowfall in Darchula, normal life affected

By Lokendra Joshi, Darchula,  Dec.9: Different areas in Darchula have witnessed the first snowfall of this year triggered by the change in weather from Sunday. 

Snowfall has been recorded at various places of Apihimal Rural Municipality, Darchula, and Byas Rural Municipality, Darchula including in high hilly and mountainous areas of the district.

Local Balmati Bohara said that the normal life of locals of Apihimal Rural Municipality has been affected because of falling mercury caused by snowfall. 

She said that temperatures went down rapidly after snowfall in hilly and high-hilly settlement areas. 

Light rainfall has been witnessed in the headquarters Khalanga along with other areas causing mercury to go down.
