Agriculture education stressed

Kathmandu, Nov 16: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidhya Bhattarai has said that agriculture education would be emphasized at the school level.     

At an endline survey meeting of the projects implemented by the Ministry and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Saturday, Minister Bhattarai said the main objective of education is to encourage students to learn, translate their knowledge in life and utilize the lessons learnt.     

On the occasion, Minister Bhattarai appreciated the JICA-supported projects for promoting agriculture.     

Likewise, she said that farmlands should be made as the labs for students since they are the real change markers in the country.     

Saying that education would be incomplete if community, school and family were not connected, Education Minister Bhattarai said that the curriculum should incorporate maximum contents for vocational agriculture and the students should be participated in research works too.(RSS)
