'Sport ensures fame of nation, sportspersons at international stages'

Dharan, Nov. 16: Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar Karki has said that sports help spread the nation's fame besides that of the sportspersons at the international level.     

Distributing the sports materials to the players of the ANFA Academy in Dharan on Saturday, Chief Minister Karki said that Nepali sportspersons of different sports have held the nation's image high by their outstanding performance despite our limited investment in sports and sportspersons.     

Likewise, the Chief Minister admitted that sufficient investment was not made in football in the country.     

The programme was organized by the Province Football Association to distribute sports materials to the footballers.     

On the occasion, 30 footballers of ANFA Academy, Dharan, were given jerseys, shoes, tracksuits and other materials.(RSS)
