Bhaktapur, Nov 16: General Secretary of the CPN UML, Shankar Pokhrel, has said the government was working actively for national development.

General Secretary Pokhrel said it while inaugurating the second municipal convention of the UML Suryabinayak municipal committee here today. The government led by UML party Chairman KP Sharma Oli was devoted to development works by building positive thoughts and warding off public despair.

He however said, "Though UML is leading the government, it is not forwarding agenda singlehandedly and making decision alone, but taking up common agenda and collaboration."

According to him, both the State bodies and people need to collaborate to build the nation. National prosperity is achievable once political stability is secured, he argued.

Also addressing the gathering were leaders Rajan Bhattarai, Som Prasad Mishra, Tulasha Dahal, Nirmal Bhattarai, Govind Duwal, Kailash Dhungel, Bachan Deuja, and Kiran Thapa. They underlined the need for making 'mission-84' successful. (RSS)
