Jaleshwar (Mahottari), Oct 5: The flood water in the premises of the Rajdevi Temple at Jaleshwar Municipality-2 of Mahottari district has been removed today.

After the incessant rains last week caused massive flooding and inundation, water stood as high as four feet into the Rajdevi Temple.

According to the Priest Ram Preet Giri, daily worshipping was affected due to flood water in the temple. Even the annual ritual of sowing seeds for jamara (holy seedling) in the wake of Dashain festival was affected by the flood.

Locals from Jaleshwar Municipality, District Administration Office, District Police Office, Temple Management Committee, local civil society and other agencies joined together to clean and burnish the temple by removing the flood water and continue worship from today.(RSS)
