Shooting of action scenes of Balidan begins

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 28The shooting of the action scenes for the film ‘Balidan’ has begun.

 A team of around 30 people, led by popular South Indian action director Stunner Sam, is working on the action sequence ‘Balidan’. 

Sam has previously directed action in popular films like ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ and the recently released ‘Thangalaan’.

The shooting has been progressing in various locations, including Itahari in eastern Nepal.

 According to director Santosh Sen, the action scenes are being shot using advanced technology and scenes featuring actors such as Sameer Bhatt are currently being shot.

 Artistes including Sameer Bhatt, Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Divya Dev and actress Reecha Sharma will be seen in pivotal roles in the film. 

The story of the film is based on the sacrifices required to fight against exploitation and injustice, and the so-called leaders of society within Nepal’s sovereign territory. 

Director Sen said that technical equipment such as lights, sound, and cameras have been imported from Mumbai to ensure Balidan is of high technical quality. 

Sen said, “Nepali cinema has made significant progress in terms of storytelling. Now, we are paying special attention to making movies that can compete internationally in terms of technical aspects as well.”
