Maoist party will take lead in new socialist revolution: Prachanda

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 26: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the Maoist party will lead a new socialist revolution.

Inaugurating the 23^rd national convention of the All Nepal Independent Students Organisation (Revolutionary) here today, the Maoist chief said that the Maoist party initiated a new era in Nepal from all perspectives including the establishment of republican set up and physical infrastructure development.

“Now no one can reject that it was for the Maoist that federal democratic republic with proportional representation in state apparatus has been established,” said Prachanda, “It has been our glorious asset that we initiated people’s war, historic people’s movement, writing of constitution through the Constituent Assembly and that we played historic role in economic prosperity and infrastructure construction, good governance and social justice whenever we got chance to lead the government.”

Prachanda, the former Prime Minister, mentioned that his stay in the government remained historic with respect to good governance, social justice and economic prosperity and that he was forced to give up government for initiating steps against corruption.

When I was the PM for the second time, I freed the Nepali people from the chronic problem of load shedding and when I became the PM for the third time I stated reform in education sector including implementing meritocracy in TU, making public the report of higher education commission and taking the federal education Act to the parliament, the former PM said.
