President of the IPU,

Keynote speaker,

Parliamentary delegates from all the countries,

Ladies and gentlemen,

A very good morning/ Ni Hao!

The Earth is the source of everything. It is indeed the only origin point of natural resources, wealth, minerals, and the abilities, knowledge, and skills that humans have acquired. By using these wisely, development and prosperity can be achieved. We all desire development and prosperity because without them, it's hard for people to find happiness. However, today, a large percentage of the world's population suffers from poverty and lack of education. Many people live below the poverty line, struggling in absolute and multidimensional poverty. Freeing humanity from this suffering is our main task and challenge today. Therefore, it's necessary to use our efforts, resources, knowledge, skills, and technology to tackle these issues. This is a global issue, and it requires a global solution. That's why we must move forward together for shared development and prosperity.

Today, the world needs peace and the elimination of poverty. But how serious is humanity about this? Why have problems like poverty, backwardness, and lack of education arisen? It's not because nature cursed us, but because of the mistakes or wrongdoings of humanity. The mindset that whatever is done for oneself, one’s community, or one’s country is justified, and the tendency to act selfishly, has led to these problems in the world. Therefore, the world must resolve to follow the path of justice, to correct the situation that humanity itself has created, and to make a shared commitment to this. With this in mind, my country and my party are determined to fulfill the national aspiration of a “SAMRIDDHA NEPAL-SUKHI NEPALI” meaning ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis’.

We want to establish a just society, achieve peace through this just system, and attain development, prosperity, social justice, and equality, which will help bring lasting peace to the world. We are always ready to cooperate and collaborate with the world to achieve this. We don't advocate one kind of justice for ourselves and another for others. Today is not the time to think that way because issues like environmental impact, poverty, and violence have global effects. Therefore, we must make global efforts to find solutions to these global issues.

In this regard, we want to cooperate with the United Nations, other friendly nations, and various organizations. We are aware of and grateful for the international responsibilities outlined in the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, various international agreements on equality, and the solutions to environmental problems. The UN proposed the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015, which set targets to be achieved by 2030. Its bases, its destinations, objectives and its goals are correct, and by achieving them, we can attain development and prosperity. We are moving forward in this direction.  We have understood our national   and international responsibility, and  our efforts and cooperation as well. We are always ready to contribute to this cause and urge other countries, governments, and everyone to do the same.

I would like to thank you for organizing this Joint Conference on Holding Peace and Stability for Common Development and Prosperity, and I am pleased to be here and to speak.

Thank you/ Namaste/Se-Se!
