Former Ward Chair Yadav killed in road accident

Malangwa (Sarlahi), Aug 24: Arvind Kumar Yadav,43, former ward chair of ward no. 4 of Kavilasi municipality in Sarlahi, died in a road accident last night.

According to the police, former ward chair Yadav died in the accident that took place involving the motorcycle (Pra. 2-03-020 Pa 3245) he was riding at Kisanpur Chowk of Barhathwa Municipality-10. Chief Superintendent of Police of Sarlahi Police Rabindra Bahadur Singh said that Yadav was going from Piparia to Barhathwa when his motorcycle hit a bicycle before meeting with an accident at 9:30 last night. Yadav died on the spot.

The identity of the cyclist is not yet known, who reportedly fled after the accident. Further investigation is underway, police said.

  Yadav was a member of the CPN (UML) district committee and was elected as the ward chair representing the UML in the 2074 BS local-level elections.  (RSS)
