Consensus on bill signals robust democracy: Law Minister

Kathmandu, Aug 14: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya, has said the consensus forged on bill relating to transitional justice spreads a message that Nepal's democracy is sustainable and robust.     

Following deliberations on the bill relating to the investigation of enforced disappeared persons, truth and reconciliation commission (third amendment) Bill, 2081 in the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Wednesday, Minister Chaurasiya thanked all lawmakers for the cooperation to reach the bill to a logical conclusion.     

He also expressed gratitude to those who played their part in preparing the bill. "All have univocally voiced for conclusion of the peace process. It has given a message that Nepal's democracy is durable.(RSS)
