Ministry should facilitate in RSS Act amendment, O&M survey, says Chair Jha

Kathmandu, Aug. 12: Executive Chairperson of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Dharmendra Jha has said that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology should facilitate the RSS Act amendment and help carry out its Organization and Management (O&M) Survey.     

At the review meeting of the ministry's performance of the last fiscal year 2023/24 organised at the ministry on Monday, Jha expressed his confidence that there will be government support in making RSS a self-reliant institution through the mobilization of its assets.     

He also drew the ministry's attention about the RSS employees' gratuity and other perks.     

Sharing that the RSS was preparing to establish a museum by compiling the news contents disseminated in the past, the RSS Executive Chair said that the move would help develop a reading culture and preserve the RSS history.     

On the occasion, Ministry's Joint Secretary Baburam Bhandari presented the progress and review of the ministry's last fiscal year.     

Chairperson of Nepal Television Samir Jung Shah and General Manager Phulman Bal, Chair of Gorkhapatra Sansthan Bishnu Subedi, Chairperson of Minimum Wages Fixation Committee Sangita Khadka, Chair of Advertisement Board Laxman Humagain, Chief Administrative Officer of Nepal Press Council Jhabindra Bhusal and others shared about different issues of the concerned organizations.(RSS)
