Narasimha Avatar is Rajesh Hamal’s comeback film

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 9: Rajesh Hamal’s comeback film will be ‘Narasimha Avatar’. It was officially announced on Thursday. Diwakar Bhattarai is directing the movie. The production team also released a theme poster. The poster, which uses red and blue colours, suggests a conflict and features the fierce avatar of Narasimha.

Narasimha is known as a fierce incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the fourth of 10 avatars according to Hindu scriptures.  In this form, Lord Vishnu took the shape of a half-man, half-lion to kill the demon king Hiranyakashipu and rescue his devotee, Prahlada. The theme poster, which hints at conflict for the sake of peace, indicates that the film will be centred around this theme.

This film marks the comeback of legendary actor Rajesh Hamal, who has decided to return to acting in feature films after a long hiatus. On Sunday, Hamal signed a contract with the production team for this film, making it his first big-screen appearance in over eight years. This makes the film special for both him and his audience.

While the genre of the film, presented by Creative Cine Art, has been revealed, the production team has not provided any details about the storyline. 

The director has also not disclosed who the lead actress opposite Hamal will be, and the theme poster remains silent on these aspects as well.

 However, it has been reported that the film’s budget will exceed Rs. 30 million. Diwakar Bhattarai’s film ‘Mayavi’ is currently in the final stages of preparation for release.
