Application for FDB chairman sought

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug.1: The Ministry for Communication and Information Technology has initiated the process of appointing a new Chairman at the Film Development Board (FDB).

Publishing a notice on Wednesday, the ministry has invited eligible Nepali citizens to submit their applications within 15 days from the date the notice was published. 

According to the notice, applicants must be aged between 30 and 65 years old, hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized educational institution, and have at least 10 years of continuous experience in the establishment, development, protection and promotion of the Nepali film industry.

Those who have passed the Proficiency Certificate level or equivalent, are required to have worked continuously for at least 20 years in the establishment, development, protection, promotion and promotion of the Nepali film industry.

 Additionally, candidates must declare that they do not hold a permanent residence card from any foreign country.

The position of FDB chairman has remained vacant since July 23, following the expiry of Bhuwan KC's term.
