CPN (MC) Vice Chair Mahara released

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 22:  Vice Chairman of the ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) Krishna Bahadur Mahara has been released without bail. 

According to Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Spokesperson Superintendent of Police, Hobindra Bogati, Mahara has been released on the guarantee of his son Nirmal Mahara on the condition that he would be presented before CIB when summoned. 

CIB released him today after the Kathmandu District Attorney's Office recorded his statements. He is released due to his health condition.  

Mahara was arrested on March 18 in connection with a gold smuggling case

A high-level probe committee was formed under the Chairmanship of former judge Dilliraj Acharya to investigate the gold smuggling case.
