By Raju Lamichhane,Rukum Pashchhim, Mar. 19: The houses damaged by the November 3 earthquake will be reconstructed at Lata Tole of Aathabiskot Municipality-13 in Rukum Pashchhim.
The Non-Residential Nepali Association (NRNA) will rebuild 28 houses in the earthquake-affected area.
Rabi KC, the Mayor of Aathabiskot Municipality, said that the charity organisations under NRNA including Global NRA Foundation and MIT Group Foundation signed an agreement with the municipality to build houses in the area.
The municipality signed the agreement with NRNA Chairman Binod Kunwar and former Chairman Shesh Ghale for reconstruction. The agreement has been made to build the houses according to the procedures to be introduced by the government, KC informed.
“As soon as the reconstruction procedure is received, the necessary process will be completed and the construction of houses will be started,” KC said. “The earthquake-resistant houses will be built using local resources and tools.”
The municipality said that various agencies had helped during the calamity and now it was necessary to help with the reconstruction campaign.
Likewise, a fund will be established in the local Janajagaran Secondary School at Gaubari.
KC said that with the help of Nepali people living in Belgium, a fund worth Rs. 600,000 will be established in the school. A commitment has been made to create a fund in the school to provide scholarships to the earthquake victims, poor and orphan students.
