By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 16: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has slashed the prices of petroleum products.
A meeting of NOC's board of director held on Friday decided to decrease the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene effective from Friday midnight.
According to the Corporation, the price of petrol has decreased by Rs. 1 per litre and diesel and kerosene by Rs. 2 per litre each.
According to a press statement of the NOC, the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene has been decreased due to the decrease in the price rate received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Friday. According to the new prices, the price of petrol in Kathmandu Valley has dropped to Rs. 171 per litre while the price of diesel has fallen to Rs. 158 per litre.
Similarly, petrol will now cost Rs. 168.5 per litre in the first category and Rs. 170 in the second category.
The price of diesel will now be Rs. 155.5 per litre in the first category and Rs. 157 in the second category. The NOC said that the price of aviation fuel and cooking gas has remained unchanged.
