PLA's high-level team calls on CoAS Sharma

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 11: Major General Zhang Baoqun, Deputy Chief of the International Military Cooperation Office of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, had a courtesy meeting with Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhu Ram Sharma at the Army Headquarters on Sunday. 

On the occasion, various aspects of the relationship between the two neighbouring countries as well as the Nepali Army and the Chinese People's Liberation Army and issues of mutual interest were discussed, according to a press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information (DPR&I). 

Brigadier General, Director for DPR&I and Nepali Army Spokesperson Krishna Prasad Bhandari said that Maj. Gen Zhang, who arrived in Nepal on a four-day visit on Saturday, would visit various cultural and tourist places in Kathmandu, Lumbini and Pokhara.

After concluding the visit, the six-member team will leave for China on March 12.
