Bharatpur, March 1: Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said Bharatpur could be developed as an international tourism destination.
Addressing the 'Visit Bharatpur Year, 2024' programme organized on the Narayani riverbank on Friday, Chairman Nepal said both development and tourism potentials can be unlocked in Bharatpur.
"Natural diversity had enriched Chitwan. Presence of diverse cultures, languages and ethnicities are also attractions to tourists," he reminded, lauding that Bharatpur Metropolitan City has stood first among the local levels in Nepal.
He, however, suggested Bharatpur to pay heed to other indications of development in addition to road infrastructure.
Coordination and collaboration among federal, provincial and local levels is imperative to advance development, Chair Nepal added. (RSS)
