Two killed, three injured when tipper hits jeep

By Hari Koirala, Urlabari, Mar 1: Two people were killed when a passenger carrying a jeep and a tipper collided in the Belbari road section of Morang along the East-West highway on Friday morning. 

A jeep with a registration number (Me 1 Ja 2856) heading towards East from Belbari was hit by a tipper with a registration number ( 001 Kha 9676) heading to West from East causing a fatal accident. Three others sustained injuries in the accident. 

Police Inspector Tej Bahadur Dahal, Area Police Office, Belbari said that the identity of the deceased and injured is yet to be ascertained. The two critically injured succumbed to their injuries on the way to the Koshi Hospital, while, the other three injured are receiving treatment at the hospital. 

Chatra Kumar Maskey, the Bus driver said that the same tipper had also hit the bus he was driving with the registration number ( 001 Kha 2718) that was heading towards Kathmandu.

Further investigation is underway after police took control of the tipper and driver.
