Relation between Nepal, India interconnected: Vice president

Kathmandu, Jan. 18: Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav said that as close neighbours, the past, present and future of Nepal and India were interconnected.     During a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, who called on him at the VP's official residence in 

Lainchaur on Wednesday, Vice President Yadav said that friendship and collaboration should be further strengthened for progress and prosperity of the people of both countries. "India is an important development partner of Nepal. We have been receiving remarkable support from India in different sectors including financial and technical support", he mentioned.     

The Vice President also said that  Nepal-India collaboration in aviation, road and railway, petroleum pipeline, hydropower, development of transmission  line, establishment of integrated check post and human resources development sector was significant. On the occasion, the Indian Ambassador stated that India had always supported Nepal's development endeavours and would continue its support in coming days, according to the office of the Vice-President.
