Myagdi, Jan 5:
People's representatives from Myagdi district have drawn the attention of the federal government towards the projects that are snail-paced in the district.
The lawmakers
called Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and the line minister,
seeking their cooperation to intensify the projects.
Gandaki Province
Assembly member Hari Bhandari informed that they met PM Prachanda and Energy
Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet and apprised them of development works and
reasons behind slow progress.
Bhandari shared,
"During the meeting with PM Prachanda at Singh Durbar, issues as
implementation status of development projects, policy making and politics were
discussed. The construction of Beni Hospital building, federal undertakings as
construction of Maldhunga-Beni, Beni-Jomsom roads, Ghoptekhola drinking water
projects featured in the meeting."
On the occasion,
PM Prachanda assured that he would take initiatives to resolve the problems after
holding discussion with line minister and secretaries.
Similarly,
Energy Minister Basnet was drawn attention on slow progress of river control
and irrigation projects at Darbang, Tatopani, Bagarphant and other riverbanks.
Additional budget was sought for preservation of Beni bazaar.
The team of
lawmakers which is the federal capital is scheduled to call on Vice Chairman of
National Planning Commission, Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha, concerned ministers and
secretaries.(RSS)
