Singers, artistes mesmerising audience in Nepalgunj festival

By Our Correspondent,Nepalgunj, Dec. 27: The 6th Nepalgunj Festival is drawing a crowd.  The main attraction of the festival being held in Nepalgunj is the captivating performances by both national and local artistes and singers.

Most of the ordinary attendees at the festival are observed to sit in front of the cultural stage, indulging in the enjoyment of songs, dances, and art.

The vegetable goers have been enthralled by the performances of renowned artists such as Eleena Chauhan, Tanka Timilsina, Ram Ji Khand, Priti Ale, and Biraj Bhatt, who have graced the festival with their presence. 

Notably, the recent inclusion of Puskal Sharma has added to the festive spirit, with his performance of the popular song ‘Ma Jiuna Sakdina Mutu Jalai’ leaving the audience mesmerised.

Puskal Sharma’s repertoire, including hits like ‘Ho Bhana Nirmaya’, ‘Chhoddina Hai Timilai’,  ‘Gayema Ho Kaliganga Tarera’, ‘Malai Maaf Gara’, ‘Kahile Ye Sathi’ received thunderous applause and cheers from the enthusiastic audience.

In addition to the musical extravaganza, the festival, organised by AG Service and coordinated by Nanda Budha, boasts a diverse array of attractions. 

These include various types of kindergarten exhibitions, a Tharu Village showcasing the local culture, photo session stalls, a wrestling competition featuring renowned athletes from Nepal and India, and powerful performances by both national and local artists. Furthermore, the festival offers the unique experience of Sony Dance.

Coordinator Nanda Budha highlighted that festival-goers can also savour authentic Tharu dishes in the Tharu Village while enjoying daily performances by national artists. 

The festival will continue till January 2.
