Shooting of ‘Yo Mann Ta Mero Nepali Ho’ concludes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 27:The initial phase of shooting of the film ‘Yo Mann Ta Mero Nepali Ho’ has concluded. 

The film’s director, Mitra Pradhan, a Nepali Bhutanese writer based in America, informed that the film was shot in Nepal and India for over 30 days, specifically in locations such as Jhapa and Ilam in Nepal, and Sikkim, Darjeeling, and Jaigaon in West Bengal, India.

Director Pradhan informed that the remaining scenes of the film will be shot in America. 

Ayusha Samal, the lead actress and the first runner-up of ‘Mero Dance Cup USA’, has already flown to America following the completion of the shooting in Nepal and India.

The cast includes Roshan Shrestha, Wilson Bikram Rai, Buddhi Tamang, Bijay Baral, Ayusha Samal, Meg Subedi, Narayan Khati, Bhupendra Lingden, Subash Bhandari, Bijay Subba, and others in pivotal roles.

Produced by Mitra Pradhan and presented by Padma Ishwar Entertainment, the movie aims to explore the themes of Nepali language, literature, art, history, and the pride associated with the language. 

Written by Shivam Adhikari, the film endeavours to depict the allure, significance, and history of the Nepali language, emphasising the need to preserve Nepali art, culture, and tradition among those living in different parts of the world.

The film features cinematography by Saurav Lama, and Kaviraj Gahatraj serves as the choreographer.

The film unit claims that it aspires to shed light on the rich cultural heritage and linguistic identity of Nepal.
