By Our Correspondent,Tanshen, Dec. 9: A team from Palpa, which was engaged in the construction of temporary housing for the earthquake victims, has returned to the district.
The team returned home after building 43 temporary houses and two schools in Aathbiskot Municipality of the earthquake-hit district of Rukum West.
The team led by Narayan Prasad Acharya, a member of the House of Representatives elected from Palpa, built 43 houses at Ghetma in Aathbiskot-13.
Acharya, the CPN-UML lawmaker, said that as part of the campaign to raise the structures damaged by the earthquake, they built necessary temporary structures for the affected citizens of Rukum West.
The team went to Rukum West on November 21. Devi Lal Lamichhane, Vice Chairman of CPN-UML Palpa, said that the team returned home after working continuously for 14 days in the quake-hit areas.
He said that the team received sincere cooperation from the people while constructing the temporary structures.
The earthquake damaged 76 houses and four school buildings in Aathbiskot-13. The team also cleared the debris of 16 damaged structures.
The team said there was an urgent need for additional relief and rehabilitation programmes for the earthquake victims. Nine persons died and 14 others were injured in Aathbiskot Municipality from November 3 quake.
