President Paudel calls foreign entrepreneurs to invest in Nepal

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 6: President Ramchandra Paudel has called upon international entrepreneurs to invest in the agriculture, tourism and energy sectors in Nepal. 

Inaugurating a 37th meeting jointly organized by the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), on Monday, President Paudel said, “Opportunities for investments are increasing and laws are being made to make investment easy. I request international entrepreneurs to invest in agriculture, tourism, and energy sectors in Nepal.”

The program will last for two days in Kathmandu from Monday. 


President Paudel said, “Nepal is making electricity market in India and Bangladesh, recent progress in the field of electricity trade has opened up significant opportunities for entrepreneurs who want to invest in hydropower.” 

The president has urged entrepreneurs to support the victims of earthquakes on humanitarian grounds. 

He said that sustainability is not just a word but a foundation for the future. Small and medium-level industries are the backbone of the economy and these provide newness, employment and progress. 

He said that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business, it is also the strongest foundation for embracing innovation and diversity and a tool to solve the biggest challenges faced by the communities. 

“I am confident that you are carrying this sentiment forward and will continue to do so," he said. 

According to him, business is an integral part of the economy. Not only does this increase the economy, but, it helps in building friendships and maintaining outside borders as well.
