By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 2: Chairperson of the Shram Sanskriti Party (SSP) Harkaraj Rai (Sampang) and a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) has stressed on the need to ensure an industry in a municipal level and one employment in a household.

Addressing the first meeting of the HoR today, Rai said, "We demand One Municipality One Industry and One Home One Employment."

He said that the law must be made in such a way that the public property can be used for the public service.

Leader Rai emphasized that the government should move forward to protect nature, preserve culture, end corruption, and work transparently in the government's policies and programs.

The SSP Chair highlighted on the use of necessary steps for peace and security, and to prioritize essential work. "Work started without research and development needs to be halted".

He suggested rethinking the decisions made by the government related to the old-age allowance and the bridge course.

SSP Chair Rai spoke against demolishing homes of landless squatters and for providing land ownership certificates to the squatters.

"We need to give the feeling that this government is not just for the rich but for the poor. Power should not be centralized; issues of the former Gorkha Army need to be addressed.

The delay in the commencement of the first meeting of the HoR compared to the stipulated time was questioned by leader Rai Sampang, and he said that even we ourselves need to be changed.

The country needs to be there as long as the earth lives. Our national pride, our flag needs to be hoisted freely, foreign influence needs to be subdued, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) needs to be suspended, he said.

All aspects of the Gen Z protest need to be looked into, according to Rai.
