Kathmandu, April 2: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has reminded that the late Kamal Prasad Koirala was a multidimensional person in Nepali political sphere.
She argued the late Koirala had adopted his own personal precepts irrespective of being born and raised in a political family. She made such observation during a programme organized to release a commemorative book on Koirala in the federal capital on Thursday.
The book was published by the Kamal Prasad Koirala memorial publication committee.
"His writing was bold and in favour of national sovereignty, social justice and equality. He adhered to communist thoughts throughout his life," she said, adding that the late Koirala was simple and humble.
Bhandari further said Koriala did not run after luxury and position, but continued devotion to people and nation through writing and political campaign.
Similarly, a Nepal Congress leader Sekhar Koirala said the late Kamal Koirala was unique- a single communist person in the Koirala family.
Leader of the Nepali Communist Party, Giriraj Mani Pokharel, said time had come to make serious review on increasing erosion of mandate to the communist parties in Nepal.
Noted journalist Kishor Shrestha also remembered the late Koirala as an honest and humble person.
