By Anil Parajuli, Hetauda, April 3: A fake examinee has been arrested from a Secondary Education Examination (SEE) center in Hetauda, Makwanpur.
The arrest was made at the SEE examination center being conducted at Solidarity Secondary School, located in Bhutandevi, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-10, on Friday morning.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the suspect was taken into custody after he was found appearing in the examination using an admit card issued in another student’s name with his own photograph attached to it.
The arrested individual has been identified as 18-year-old Biraj BK, of Marin Rural Municipality-4, Sindhuli, who is currently studying in Grade 11 at Hetauda School of Management College, located in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-4.
Friday’s examination was for the Nepali subject.
Police investigations revealed that BK had appeared for the examination using the admit card of 19-year-old Ankish Shrestha, of Padampokhari, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-12.
Both individuals involved in the incident have been taken into custody and are being held at the District Police Office, Makwanpur, for further investigation.
The SEE examinations, which began on Thursday, have seen the participation of 7,192 students from Makwanpur district. Students from a total of 142 community and institutional schools across the district are appearing for the examination.
