By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov.1: Sajja Chaulagain, a renowned singer and winner of Nepal Idol Season 3, recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully conquering 5933-metre-tall Jugal Peak-5.
She accomplished the remarkable feat on October 24.
She climbed the mountain with Pemba Dorje Sherpa, Nima Gyalzen Sherpa, Tenzing Jangbu Sherpa and Jaime Salinas.
Chaulagain’s expedition to conquer Jugal Peak-5 was not just about personal achievement, it carried a profound message under the banner ‘From Unheard to Unstoppable: Climb for Women in the Arts’.
Atop the mountain, she proudly waved the national flag and displayed a banner with the empowering slogan ‘Women in the Arts’.
Taking to her Facebook page, Chaulagain passionately expressed, “Art is not a privilege, it’s a right. It’s a fundamental part of being a human. I’m so happy to represent all the women, with the slogan of climb for “Women in the Arts”.
“Being a woman I always had a dream of encouraging other women and representing them as much as I can. I got a chance to do it so I tried my best. This one is for all the women out there. Also, I’m super blessed,”
said Chaulagain.
The expedition was managed by Dolma Outdoors and Himalayan Shepherd.
