Former PMs Nepal and Khanal extend best wishes

Kathmandu, Oct 24: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has said preservation of the culture of all communities in the nation would help strengthen national unity.    


Issuing a message of best wishes on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami today, he said the religion, culture, language and literature of all communities in the nation characterised by ethnic, linguistic, religious and cultural diversities should be protected and promoted.    


The former Prime Minister viewed that festivals like Dashain played an important role in enhancing mutual goodwill, tolerance, brotherhood and unity amongst all Nepalis. He wished for the happiness, peace, prosperity, good health and continued progress of all Nepalis within the country and abroad on the occasion of Bada Dashain festival.    


In the message, leader Nepal pointed out the need of strengthening the federal democratic republic and preserving the political achievements for building a just society by maintaining good governance and prosperity, ending corruption and making the people conscious.    


Meanwhile, the party's respected leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal also extended best wishes to all Nepalis on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami. In a message of best wishes, leader Khanal has pointed out the need of fostering cooperation, goodwill and tolerance amongst all Nepalis for the country's development.    


Stating that socialism alone is the means of eradicating poverty, he stressed on forging unity among the pro-change and the democratic forces for defending the political achievements attained through long struggle. (RSS)
