Thantiko Gham by Tanka Bhattarai unveiled

By Our Correspondent,Taplejung, Oct. 17: A book ‘Thantiko Gham’ penned by Tanka Bahadur Bhattarai has been unveiled during a programme organised in Fungling, Taplejung district headquarters, on Sunday on the occasion of Ghatasthapana, the first day of Dashain.

Chief District Officer Goma Devi Chemjong, District Coordination Committee Chief Tshering Lama, Fungling Municipality's mayor Amir Maden, Deputy Mayor Bhimadevi Ojha, Pathivara Yangwarak Rural Municipality chairperson Keshar Kumar Mengmbo and Meringden Rural Municipality chairman Yuk Han Bir Hangam among others jointly released the book.     

 This is the third literary masterpiece by Bhattarai, who hails from Budhanilakantha, Kathmandu.

Bhattarai, aside from his literary pursuits, held a significant role as the Assistant Chief District Officer in Taplejung.

 Passionate about showcasing his novel in his workplace area, he expedited the printing process, ensuring that ‘Thantiko Gham ' was quickly brought to life in Taplejung.

 The author expressed heartfelt thanks for the warm reception, support, and constructive feedback from the Taplejung community regarding his new work.

The 245-page book is intricately structured with 52 distinct sections, each narrating unique stories and themes.

The novel was reviewed by Shantiram Nepal, a local writer, and Anant Gautam, president of the district branch of the Nepali Journalist Association.
