Kathmandu, July 15 : Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the party has been adopting proportional and inclusive measures.
Inaugurating the Bagmati Province gathering of Tamu (Gurung) Association Nepal here today, President Deuba mentioned that cooperation and coordination of all castes and communities was necessary to make the NC united and strong. "All communities and castes have equal participation and contribution in different movements including political change in the country. Inclusiveness is necessary in structures of the state and in the parties as well."
Similarly, NC Vice-President and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhanraj Gurung, said the NC and government has been carrying out activities for good governance, economic prosperity and transformation.
He stressed that service delivery to the people would be made efficient by maintaining good governance and the bill related to anti-usury will be passed within two days.
Likewise, NC General-Secretary Bishwo Prakash Sharma expressed the view that it was responsibility of all castes and communities to actively participate for heading the state in the journey of prosperity by strengthening the NC. "We all should take part in the anti-corruption campaign as well as in the journey towards prosperity with determination", he shared.
Joint General-Secretary Bhisma Raj Angdambe viewed that the role of Gurung community to take the NC to this height was incomparable and remarkable.
Similarly, NC Spokesperson and Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat mentioned that Nepal is a country with common identity in terms of all castes, religions, communities, culture, civilization and costumes, adding NC is the first party raising the issue of inclusion.
Chairperson of Nepal Federation of Democratic Indigenous Nationalities, Om Bahadur Gharti, and Association Chairperson Bhuwan Singh Gurung, expressed their views that responsibilities should be given to indigenous nationalities implementing the proportional and inclusive principle as indigenous nationalities have great contribution against injustice and in favour of political change.
The gathering of Tamu community of 13 districts of Bagmati Province would present suggestions with concrete conclusion for strengthening organisation of the party.
On the occasion, President Deuba presented certificate to new presidents of Tamu Community of all 13 districts. (RSS)
