By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 14:The government has decided to designate the central office of Nepal Open University (NOU) at Sanothimi in Bhaktapur. Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, who is also the spokesperson of the government, made this remark while speaking at a press conference on Thursday to make public the Cabinet decisions made on July 6 and 11.
The Cabinet meeting has decided to issue an obstacle release order for renewing the license of those manpower or recruiting companies which failed to send at least 100 Nepalis for foreign employment annually in the fiscal years 2020/21 and 2021/22. The government will do so if they come to renew the company's license within the current fiscal year 2022/23.
The meeting also decided to grant principle approval for drafting the Tourism Bill, and to give approval to Thawang Rural Municipality, Rolpa to acquire 890 square metres of land to establish Agriculture Produce and Sales Centre.
According to Minister Sharma, the government has also decided to approve the Wildlife Damage Relief Distribution Guidelines, 2080.
Similarly, the meeting has extended the deadline of the Unfair Transaction (Loan Shark) Problem Probe Commission till October 12.
Similarly, the government approved the visit of Minister for Finance Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat to take part in the 3rd Finance Minister level meeting of the group of developed and developing countries (G20) to be held in Gujarat, India.
Similarly, the Cabinet meeting extended the Cooperative Sector Reform Suggestion Task Force term for next month from July 11, 2023.
Further, the Cabinet meeting decided to allow 2.508 hectares of land of Bahundanda Community Forest area located in Ward No. 10 and 13 of Banepa Municipality for the construction of state-of-the-art film studio.
The government has also decided to provide Rs. 5.9 billion to all local level governments under fiscal equalisation grants that were allotted for the fiscal year 2079/80.
