PM urges youth to support nation-building tasks

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 3: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he is determined to do historic work by bearing witness to the country and the people.

 During a meeting with Nepali talents from around the world at his official residence in Baluwatar on Sunday, the Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to bringing about a positive change in the country. Speaking at the programme organised by the Intra National Welfare and Support Foundation, the Prime Minister said that he would refrain from engaging in any detrimental actions and would ensure that no harm befalls the nation.

 He pledged to carry out significant work that would be remembered by both history and future generations.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister appealed to the younger generation, urging them to provide strong support in the nation-building tasks. He highlighted the significance of language, customs, and culture in shaping a country’s history and identity.

 Expressing pride over Nepal’s unique identity, the Prime Minister cited various distinguishing factors such as the country's rich heritage, including being the birthplace of Gautam Buddha and the Vedic Sanatan religion and culture. 

On the occasion, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Intra Foundation Nepal for organising competitions among Nepali individuals in over 52 countries, which fostered an environment that celebrated the Nepali language and culture. He acknowledged that the event might have provided an opportunity for some participants to reconnect with their motherland and fatherland for the first time.

The Prime Minister also expressed his commitment to combating corruption and building a garbage-free nation. 

He said that the government would actively engage in controlling corruption and expressed confidence in receiving strong support and cooperation from the youth.Reflecting on the establishment of the federal democratic republic in Nepal, the Prime Minister acknowledged the arduous journey that led to this system. 

The Prime Minister emphasised that the present political system belonged to all Nepalis and urged everyone to safeguard and strengthen the federal democratic republic.
