By Our Correspondent,Ilam, July 2: A photo exhibition has been organised in Antu, a famous tourism destination in the Ilam district, to further promote tourism in the area.
The exhibition is being organised by “Athot Nepal”, a not-for-profit organisation. There are 50 photos that depict nature and culture in a more profound manner.
“The photos show the way of life, culture, art and nature in different parts of the country,” said Devendra Shahi Thakuri, coordinator for Athot Nepal.
Athot Nepal roams across the country with a photo exhibition to show the country’s beauty and interact with the locals on different subjects. It has already organised an exhibition in Hetauda and Janakpurdham.
The exhibition in Antu is receiving a good number of visitors as the locally elected representatives also showed a positive response and visited the exhibition.
Similarly, tourists and journalists from India can also be seen enjoying their time at the exhibition.
“It was a great pleasure to see different aspects of our country under the same roof,” said Biplav Bhattarai, chairman of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Ilam.
Likewise, Ilam’s Rong Rural Municipality Chairman Mani Kumar Syangbo said that a photo exhibition can help promote tourism of a place across the world. “Photos have the power to speak on their own,” he added.
