Seven Nepalis receive ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Indian Television Award'

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 13: Seven Nepali youths were recently honoured at the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Indian Television Award' held in Mumbai, India. 

Individuals from various categories, including the foreign category, were honoured by the  prestigious award.

 Among the winners in the foreign category were Saroj Ojha, the presenter and director of the programme ‘Sachetana’ broadcast on Nepal Television, artist Neetu Koirala, singer Binod Dhakal, artist and actor Rajendra Prasad Ojha, aesthetician Sushila Thapa, event director Amit Shah, and campaigner Krishna Prasad Devkota.

Indian TV personalities such as actress Shweta Tiwari, actress and model Rani Ray, model Ritu Sharma, fashion designers Ragini K Singh and Monika Bhadoriya, social activist Belinda Perera, Ashok Prasad Abhishek, Aditya Khurana, Ramadeep Kaur, Hiten Tejwani, Manya Singh,  Twinkle Vasisht, Liza Singh and Ankit Raj among others were  awarded in the programme. 

The event was organised by Filmora Media. During the ceremony, Akhilesh Singh, the head of the organising organisation Filmora, received a token of love adorned with the flags of Nepal and India. 

Singh expressed his interest in exploring the possibility of organising the next edition of the Dadasaheb Phalke Television Awards in Nepal.
