BY OUR CORRESPONDENT, Tanahun, June 11: Samjhana Shrestha of Vyas Municipality-5, who is suffering from uterine cancer, is facing difficulties in treatment due to poor economic conditions. She is currently being treated at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital of Bharatpur in Chitwan district.

Since it could not afford further treatment, Shrestha's family appealed for help. Chandra Kumar Shrestha, the husband of Samjhana, said that they had already spent a lot of money on the treatment. He said that her wife would survive if people helped with the much-needed money.

The family has recently started receiving money from various organisations, though. At the initiative of Mahendra Shrestha, Ganesh Kumar Shrestha and Tul Bahadur Garanja, living in Malaysia, the Shrestha family has received Rs. 40,000 along with a fund of Rs. 41,015 from Patenitar Tole Bikash Sanstha, Rs, 33,090 from Dabhunga Chandeshwori Guthi Sansthan, Rs. 20,655 from Manung Guthi and Rs. 6,500 from Patenitar Newa Samaj.
