By Our Correspondent,Rukum, East, June 10: Three youths have started a soap industry in Bhume Rural Municipality-3, Sishaghari, in Rukum East district.
Aakash Gurung, Lalman Shrestha and Dipen Budha of the same ward started the laundry soap industry named ‘Bhume Soap Industry Private Limited’ with the investment of Rs. 6 million.
The three youths range in age from 27 to 30.
This is not the first time that a soap industry has been brought into operation in the district, however. Before this, a soap industry had been operated in Sisaghari of Bhume Rural Municipality-3 and Bahunthana in Sisne Rural Municipality-5, Rukumkot.
However, currently the two soap industries are not in regular operation.
Now, three youths have started the industry in Sisaghari located in the central part of the district.
Proprietor Gurung said that after the soap industry that was in operation before could not produce soap regularly, they started a soap industry with the determination to produce soap, sell and distribute it.
According to him, they will produce soap regularly and supply it inside and outside the district.
He informed that Rs. 6 million have been invested so far.
Gurung said, “There is still a work to do to manage the industry. We will continuously strive to become entrepreneurs through regular operation of the soap industry by managing additional investments.”
The youths who started soap production last month are currently preparing to sell it.
About 15,000 soaps have been produced after testing. They prepare two kinds of soaps: one weighing 200 grams and another 300grams.
