By Our Correspondent,Myagdi (Beni), May 16: Bhediodhar was once a little-known area with a cave (Odar) and many sheepcotes. Now though, it is gaining a new identity as a popular tourist destination thanks to its calm environment, rhododendron forests and clear view of the snow-capped mountains.
The mountains, in particular, attract many to this area in Raghuganga Rural Municipality–2. From here, people can see the peaks Dhaulagiri, Gurja, Annapurna, Nilgiri and Machhapuchchhre without any obstruction.
They can also get a view of the beautiful hilly settlements of Myagdi, Baglung and Parbat districts as well as the famous tourist sites of Poon Hill, Karbakeli and Todke.
Furthermore, a viewpoint has been constructed on a large rock at Bhediodhar which lies at an altitude of 2,500 metres above sea level.
According to Amrit Bhandari, chairman of Ward No. 2 of Raghuganga Rural Municipality, the number of tourists began increasing after the Ruise-Bhediodhar-Dhaulagiri Icefall Trail was listed as the top 100 destinations of Nepal for the Visit Nepal Year 2020.
