By Our Correspondent,Rukum, May 8: Balram Vishwakarma, the winner of 'Himalaya Lokstar Season-2,' was warmly welcomed and honoured in his home district Rukum. During his visit to his home district on Saturday, Vishwakarma was honoured in Sani Bheri Rural Municipality-3.
Former Minister for Finance and Member of the House of Representatives Janardan Sharma and Sani Bheri Rural Municipality’s chairman Birkh Bahadur Bista, along with other officials, attended the event organised to honour Vishwakarma.
Minister Sharma praised Vishwakarma and said that artists were valuable assets of the nation and lauded his achievements in the music industry. “Talents should be supported and encouraged,” he said.
Vishwakarma, who won the title of Himalaya Lokstar by defeating the top five contestants, was awarded a prize of Rs.1.5 million and a life insurance policy worth Rs. 7, 00,000. At the event, Vishwakarma expressed his gratitude to the people of the district for their support and promised to continue to promote the culture and music of his society, district, and country through his works.
