Karnali CM voices for Jumla’s prosperity

By Our Correspondent,Jumla, Apr. 26; Chief Minister of Karnali Province Raj Kumar Sharma has said that Jumla should be developed as a district of prosperity from Jumla apples.

Speaking at an interaction on Development and Prosperity of Jumla, he emphasised on the need for investment in this sector as agricultural forest products, including apples, are the main economic source of Karnali.

Stating that every farmer can earn cash income of at least 50,000 from apples, he said that more infrastructure building was necessary to increase investment in apples.

He expressed the opinion that political change has taken place but that support from all sides is a must to change the status of the people. 

As Karnali is lagging behind in its internal income, he said that there was an urgent need to increase the production from agriculture and forestry industries to increase revenue. 

Chief Minister Sharma emphasised that now Karnali government has prepared the infrastructure for education, health and employment.
